SIPEU Credit Limited is the public employee credit union. It was incorporated in April 1987 under the Credit Union’s Act 1986 administered by the Central Bank of Solomon Islands (CBSI).
The key activities of SIPEU Credit Union is lending funds and salary advance scheme to its members. SIPEU Credit Union has a total of 3800 active members with different share balances. This represents a significant portion of the public sector workforce, and we continue to grow each year by providing essential financial services.
According to SIPEU Credit Union limited supplementary by-laws, 1997 the membership is open to all employees of the Solomon Islands Government under the Public Service Commission. However membership is not compulsory.
